Social and community groups and activities

Hello and welcome

Children can be introduced to their communities and networks right from birth, and start developing social skills, kindness, empathy, mindfulness, respect and values.

Social interaction through Mother’s and Parents’ groups, community centres, playgroups, community events, clubs and multicultural appreciation.

Support from and involvement with charities and foundations. Community volunteering, donations and fundraising. Role models and mentoring.

Over time, we will be adding articles, lists and other resources here from various services to enable people to be as prepared as possible for their needs. Please subscribe to our e-News below to stay up to date.

Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation Children's Guide acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
