Weapons

Many day-to-day items can be used as a weapon, however, some homes actually have firearms, swords, martial arts weapons and specialty knives or daggers. Most of these need to be licensed, used only at special venues, transported and stored in a particular manner. Do not allow your children to play with weapons or show their friends. Practice safety precautions as instructed by the appropriate authority, ensuring weapons are correctly maintained and licenses renewed.

Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation Children's Guide acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, waters and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
