Safety for yourself, others and the environment

We live in a fantastic country with an abundance of attractions, recreational facilities, outdoor areas and special events to share and enjoy with our children. The point is to have fun, to enjoy what our communities have to offer us, to take leisure time, enjoy the festivals or where we are on a tourist level. Whether you take your children for an outing or allow them to attend with friends, you’d like to feel secure with the knowledge that they can handle unusual situations which open areas, the environment, venues or special events may present. Prepare your children and yourself by understanding where they’re going and setting your own ground rules based on your children’s abilities and limitations.

Observe safety practices set by the location or venue your children are attending. These are in place to ensure that the facilities are enjoyed as designed and minimise risk for all visitors as well as the facilities themselves.

Over time, we will be adding articles, lists and other resources here from various emergency services to enable people to be as prepared as possible for any emergency situation. Please subscribe to our e-News below to stay up to date.
