Family and personal safety

Never be afraid to ask for help

This section is one of the hardest sections of this website to research and put together. It is confronting facing issues which I have had no personal experience or exposure to, and will be communicating with the experts to ensure all content across this, and all, sections is correct.

Some articles and content which we have planned for this section may include information which some may find distressing, and these will be preceded with trigger warnings.

Most people take shelter, food and clothing for granted, but poverty and limited access to basic needs are a daily reality for many families, and I’m sure that almost every parent has lost their temper at some point or another and yelled, smacked a bottom or enforced a punishment, but tragically this is often taken further.

For many kids, the most distressing scenario might be to have devices or games taken away, or another privilege denied. However, at other times, a child, teen or even adult can be exposed to very dangerous situations or risks, or be deliberately harmed. It’s sad and tragic, but it happens.

There are different risks to family and personal safety and various resources which are discussed further via the links below. For assistance with immedate danger or harm, please

Over time, we will be adding articles, lists and other resources here from various services to enable people to be as prepared as possible for any personal safety situation. Please subscribe to our e-News below to stay up to date.
